Carl B. and Florence E. King started the Foundation that bears their names in 1966. Beginning with gifts from Mr. and Mrs. King, as well as a later bequest from their daughter, Dorothy, the Foundation has now grown to more than $60 million in assets and distributes approximately $2 million per year.
The Foundation is governed by an independent, seven-member Board of Directors, all of whom serve without compensation, and operated by a four-person staff.
In this section, you can learn more about Mr. and Mrs. King, the principles that guide the Foundation’s work, a complete director and staff list, our annual report, and the most recent financial reports on the Foundation.
